To accurately calculate exactly how much disposable income there is in your household, all financial commitments need to be taken into account. This expenditure must include all household bills, credit agreements and other financial commitments. If anything is left out here, the monthly repayment calculated here will be unrealistically high.
Priority debts typically cover those debts that can dramatically alter your situation if left unresolved. Mortgage and rent arrears, secured loans and debts to the government that could result in legal action are priority debts. We will ensure that any calculation given prioritises these commitments above all others.
Unsecured debts, although still a worry, leave much more room for negotiation than Priority Debts. There is more room for manoeuvre with unsecured debts and, thus, we will look to offset your disposable income against your unsecured debts to come up with the most effective way to meet all of your financial commitments.
Unsecured debts, although still a worry, should not be prioritised over arrears on a secured debt unless you have made a formal agreement for repayment with each of your secured creditors. Please tell us how much you are paying toward each unsecured creditor, even if this is just a token payment at present.
It is important that contact details are kept up to date so that we can maintain contact with you at every step along the way. We do not share this information with third parties and will only look to use it with relation to your personal business matters with ourselves.
Using all of the information you have supplied to us, our budget calculator aims to show you a realistic monthly rate. If you believe that our assessment of your situation is incorrect, please revisit the figures you have supplied.
